Yew, Ebony and Ash Jewellery Box
A jewellery box made from Yew with an Ebony banding, compartments made from Ash and gilded flowers. No veneers or man made materials have been used in its construction.
The box has three layers each of which consisting of different size compartments to accommodate different size jewellery from large earrings to watches and necklaces. The removable trays are lined with black wool felt and incorporate a handle on each side to aid their removal.
Flowers carved to resemble closed rose buds with adjoining leaves have been carved from Lime and gilded in 23 Carat Gold increasing the wealth, uniqueness and rarity of this box.
Solid brass ‘Stop Hinges’ have been used which enable the lid to stay open in an upright position.
A bronze inscribed plaque has be added to the inside of the lid as per the buyers wishes.
