How to Make a Purchase
Furniture made by Wood to Inspire is unique in every sense. We do not keep stocks of items shown on our website and therefore there is a lead time with every piece. The products shown represent an indication of the items final appearance. There will of course be slight colour and marking variations in the wood used. Jewellery Boxes and Cufflink boxes are also made to order although these we can produce more quickly. We also undertake commissions, designing and building furniture for the customer. To make a purchase (in essence a copy) of one of the pieces you have seen on this site please contact us to discuss your requirements.
The average lead-time is approximately 12 weeks. Please contact us if you wish to know the price of any of our furniture. Note that Prices vary depending on the type of wood to be used. For an idea of the prices please view our prices page
We ask for 25% deposit on placing an order. Prior to the customer placing an order we will provide them with a full price breakdown that will outline the cost of materials and labour and indicate a estimated project end date. We will also present our terms and conditions for you to review. Deposits are refundable up to seven days from the date of order. If you decide to cancel your order after the seven days, we cannot refund your deposit.
Full Payment is due on delivery. We do not offer a credit service.
Delivery Information
Delivery is free ‘within the UK only’ and we will contact you to arrange receipt of goods. We will telephone you to arrange a suitable delivery time, and will place the furniture in the room of your choice and remove any packaging before leaving. Customer care is our priority here.

Return of Standard goods
We operate a "no-quibbles" guarantee, which means that if you are unhappy with your purchase, contact us to discuss its return, unused, and in its original condition within 14 days from date of delivery/collection. We will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. Any claims for non-functionality must be made in writing within 14 days on receipt of goods.

Made To Measure Goods / Commissions
All items are checked for specification against customer’s dimensions and drawings. Quality is checked on completion and a digital image of the item is recorded.
If on receipt of your Made To Measure goods, or within 14 days, you find the item to be either faulty, damaged, or not to the previously agreed specifications, you must contact us. Any claims for damage or non-functionality must be made in writing within 14 days on receipt of goods, if a refund is sought.
We will arrange for an inspection visit or ask you for a detailed description and photograph of the problem. If you have a legitimate reason or if an error has been made at the factory, we will replace the goods. If we are notified of a problem after 14 days of receipt of goods, on-site adjustments will be offered at a chargeable hourly rate should we consider the adjustments feasible.
Right to Cancel
(Standard items ordered by phone, fax or internet)
In addition, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you may cancel your order within seven working days commencing from the date on your order details if you ordered by telephone, fax or through the website. Cancellations must be made in writing.
You will however, be responsible for the costs of returning any goods to us if you decide to cancel within 7 days after receiving the goods (unless these goods are faulty or have been delivered by us in error).
All goods remain ‘Wood to inspire’ property until paid for in full. Prices and manufacturers specifications subject to change without notice. Minor specification variations do not entitle the purchaser to rescind the contract.
You must not interfere or try to repair goods yourself as this will deem the refund policy invalid. We do not send advance replacements. You are responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the returned item. We are not responsible for any consequential loss or expenses, howsoever caused, including returns costs.
